Dato’ Leong Hong Tole (D.S.T.M.), known globally as Dato’ Tole, is Malaysia’s leading Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner. He is a 4th-generation acupuncturist and herbalist in Malaysia, carrying forward more than 25 generations of medical heritage from China. His family practiced in Chinatown for over 200 years before relocating to Menara KH (Promet) in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur in 1993.
Dato’ Tole became famous in 1987, when his expertise was featured in numerous news articles. In 1992, he officially founded TheTole Acupuncture and Herbal Medical Centre, which was inaugurated the following year by Malaysia’s Health Minister (1993). Since then, TheTole has grown into an internationally recognized destination for patients seeking natural healing.
His reputation extends to treating royal families — especially Negeri Sembilan — alongside thousands of patients worldwide. Dato’ Tole’s treatments combine acupuncture, personalized herbal medicine, dietary guidance, and stress management, always focusing on the root cause of illness rather than just its symptoms.
For his contributions to society and medicine, he was awarded the Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz (D.S.T.M.), carrying the esteemed title Dato’. His work continues to be celebrated for blending centuries of wisdom with modern needs, trusted by royals and respected by the people.
